History of the Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics
The Catherine Hinds Institute was founded in 1979, six months after the estheticians|aestheticians bill was signed into law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. From inception, the goal of the Institute has been to be foremost in the field of esthetic|aesthetic training.
In January, 1983, the school was granted the first accreditation of any esthetic|aesthetic school in the United States, a feat that stood unchallenged for five years.
Today the Institute is accredited by the Accrediting
Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and offers
premiere training in all areas of esthetic|aesthetic education.
Accreditation is a student's best assurance that a school meets national
standards of quality, performance and educational excellence. In January 2008 the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) renewed the accreditation of the Catherine Hinds Institute of
Esthetics for an additional five (5) year term. The ACCSC is recognized
by the U.S. Department of Education as a national accrediting agency for
private, postsecondary institutions that offer occupational vocational
programs. The Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics has been recognized by ACCSC as a 2008-2009 School of Excellence and as a 2003 School of Distinction.
